iHome ipod player June 5, 2010 J. Cobb (AU, AL) The ease of use and the portability were the main factors for me in purchasing this product. The sound quality is not great, but for the cost-it's OK. My only problem has been it doesn't charge my ipod while on the player, so that is a drawback. I was hoping it would charge and says it does-but it actually doesn't. It has a number of plastic adapters that are confusing, it is possible I'm using the wrong one but they aren't clear as to which to use with my ipod.
3 pc ipod dock May 4, 2010 M. Miller (New Jersey) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
It is nice but I didn't think how hard it would be to take places. It is 3 separate pieces so it is cumbersome.
Liked it enough that I bought two May 3, 2010 Cricket (Seattle, Wa) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
My home is filled with iPod docks. I like to have one in each room that I spend any amount of time in. Yes they are portable and I could move them around, but most I have purchased on sale and it just made sense to get them. I also don't use this with my computer as many do, I only wanted this for playing music around the home.
As for the iHome iH64BA Multimedia Stereo Speakers wth Dock for iPod, here are my pros and cons.
Pros:
~ Decent sound quality. Not for a large room, but works great in my bathroom and kitchen.
~ Portable. If I were to want to move it, it's not an issue.
~ Customizable speaker accent colors. Stay with the basic black or add on pink or blue.
~ Charges my iPod as it's playing.
~ Power using the included AC adapter or on the go with 4 AAA batteries.
Cons:
~ Feels a little cheap. Made of a lightweight plastic.
~ Fluctuating price here on Amazon. I've seen it as low as $14 and as high as $30. (Doesn't effect my overall rating)
Good price - okay sound - works with Touch 3rd generation March 14, 2010 Orion6192 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
I gambled on this units for the $14 price tag that it would work with my 3rd generation touch. I asked and looked and no comments so thought I had better post. It plays and charges my 3rd generation touch just fine. A little lacking on the bass but a great set-up for the kitchen or a bedroom - especially for $15 (NYS tax :().
Good Low Volume Speakers! March 12, 2010 P. Sengupta (Chicago, IL) I bought these speakers to use at the office and have been very satisfied with them. The sound quality is good and the construction is easy to hide on your desk. They might not be the best speakers for high volume, as there is not much bass, but they are great for my purposes.
My only complaint is that the volume controls are not very sensitive. By that I mean that there is a jump in the volume for each click, so that sometimes you cannot get the "perfect" volume, it will be either too loud or too soft and you cannot adjust it further.
