The SanDisk Sansa c240 will play MP3, WMA, WAV, and protected WMA DRM (digital rights management) music files. I bought 8, and only one didn't work out of the box. September 3, 2010

I bought 8 of these to take my small business, a massage therapy center, from cd's to digital music. These are light, portable little guys, the only issue being that it is hard to see what is hi-lighted by the display which makes it a bit less user friendly. As my title states, one didn't work, would turn on but there was no sound when plugged into a variety of speakers. The process of returning it gets 0 stars, as I have to call the manufacturer, go through a ridiculous phone maze, get a defect code, give that to the factory depot, and return it at my own cost. Considering its not my fault it doesn't work, that is pretty bad.

Good buy for the price...it did NOT have a lanyard or FM stations....after contacting TheFactoryDepot they informed me that they've tried to get Amazon to correct the information about the lanyard(not included) without success. Also the FM stations is just a matter of updating the firmware(American update)...good service from TheFactoryDepot.

After charging my new mp3 I noticed that there was no radio on the menu list. Calling Sandisk tech support three times and on the 3rd time I was told that they no longer support this item over the phone all inquiries have to be submitted by email and wait 24 to 48 hrs. for a response. So feeling bummed that my so call plug and play device was incomplete. I called Factory Depot which was the seller I bought the device from, and Amanda wonderful and patient customer service rep was able to by pass the run around from sandisk for me was able to email me the necessary files to download to the device and the radio is working fine. So in all it's a nice player with a good size display for us older folks who don't have arms long enough to hold it out to see what i'm doing with it. Sound is good. I like the fact that it's rechargeable and the battery can be replace. The menu is easy to maneuver around holds a charge for a good period of time. Updating the firmware is easy drag and drop music files.
DOESN'T HAVE RADIO, but the firmare upgrade and already has radio!! July 21, 2010

I read in the specifications that to have radio, when I receive it I surprised myself. the one doesn't have radio, it was sold by factory depot,it is ok, but this wrong to deceive their clients this way
